01 / THE UK CHAPTER
Darklight grew out of UK club culture, bringing together the soulful side of liquid, the drive of jump-up and the darker, more technical edges of drum & bass.
Its UK history includes Chase & Status, MC Skibadee, Andy C, DJ Marky, Stamina, Noisia, DJ Zinc and many more. The photographs below remember the artists and crowds who made those nights.
DLM began DJing in 2004 and placed second to A.M.C in Drum&BassArena’s 2008 DJ competition. His path has taken him through Ministry of Sound in London, Concorde II in Brighton and Rex Club in Paris. Based in Seoul since 2016, he brings that experience into Darklight’s Korean chapter.
Meet DLMNavi helped shape Seoul’s drum & bass community through DNBS from 2013 to 2019. Her soulful, expressive selection has reached dancefloors in China, Japan, Thailand and Taiwan. At Darklight, that connection to the local scene meets a shared appetite for the full range of drum & bass.

Darklight’s Seoul chapter began at Hole in November 2024. Collaborations with DnBSeoul and nights across the city have since brought international guests and local residents together, with Seoul now the home base.
